Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review paperwork to ensure completion and accuracy of all documents.
  • Inspect product to verify conformance to specification of the parts by using visual aides.
  • May learn basic gaging to inspect product needing full inspections.
  • Operate programs on a CMM on parts by utilizing computer system, set up sheets, and sampling plan associated with the part
  • Fill out paperwork (electronic and paper) such as turnback forms, inspection or test data, and utilizing ERP system to pull data (sampling plan)
  • Actively participate in quality and continuous improvement activities and communicate with operations to problem solve and establish priorities.
  • Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
  • All other duties as assigned including working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business, etc
  • Prepare to inspect by interpreting blueprints, data, and manuals to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1 year min experiencing inspecting by interpreting blueprints, data, and manuals to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift
  • Must be able to work overtime

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related Technical field (Tool and Die, Quality Assurance, etc.) a plus
  • Proficient in mathematics including geometry and algebra, Shop math preferred Basic proficiency with detailed drawings including geometric tolerance, dimensions, general features and blueprint reading, preferred
  • Moderate proficiency with computers including email, internet, and basic MS Office including excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of gauging, such as OD micrometers, ID micrometers, caliper, plug gauges, and comparator charts preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
