Job Description:

Your role as a physician will center around the application and adjustment of primary healthcare principles, methods, and techniques, offering comprehensive primary and post-acute care services. This includes diagnosing various diseases and injuries and ensuring quality patient care. A crucial part of your role will involve evaluating medical procedures and day-to-day scenarios, offering invaluable insights to enhance our service and profitability.
Key
Responsibilities:
As part of your responsibilities, you will independently complete patient history and physical data, conduct exhaustive physical exams, order and interpret relevant diagnostic and therapeutic tests, and decide the appropriate treatment plan.
You will also prescribe suitable pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments, collaborate, educate, and supervise Advance Practice Providers to manage patients' acute and long-term medical needs, and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
Qualifications:
- Possess a Doctorate degree, supplemented with a valid Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) certification/license.
- Minimum of 2 years of dedicated experience, specifically in Post Acute, Geriatric Care, or Primary Care.
- Valid Medical Doctor (MD) certification/license in South Carolina (SC) - Valid BC/BE Internal Medicine or BC/BE Family Medicine certifications/licenses
Skills and Abilities:
In-depth knowledge about the primary care of geriatrics and healthcare in senior living communities is needed. Ability to develop medical quality assurance and control standards, reacting calmly in emergency situations. You must be detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Education:
Either a Doctor of Medicine (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree
Experience:
Previous experience or interest in primary care, or post-acute care with geriatrics, including Senior living, SNF, IPR, and LTACH is greatly beneficial. Any experience or interest in value-based care is favored. Proficiency in EHR documentation along with facility in documenting and billing is strongly preferred. A positive attitude and a desire to offer high-quality care in a team-oriented environment are vital.
License/Certification:
You must possess a valid license to practice medicine in the state employed and BC/BE in either Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Current DPS and DEA certificates (or in process) are compulsory.
