? Provides instruction in approved CTT training curriculum and in accordance with Center training procedures.
? Revises training curriculum and materials needs as required.
? Works as a member of the CTT Center Team in providing individual student case management.
? Works as a member of the CTT Center Team in developing the employability of students.
? Assists with CDSS programming to include Career Preparation, Career Development and Career Transition.
? Assists with pre-separation placement activities.
? Works as a member of the Voc.
Center Team in providing assistance in any area needed to maintain quality student services.
? Participates in student AWOL retrieval, Student Performance Appraisal, and Individual Student Placement Plan activities.
? Works closely with Applied Academics Instructors to ensure that training meets applied needs of students.
Makes recommendations for training revisions.
? Administers CTT competency assessments.
? Maintains efficient and timely TAR documentation in accordance with company and DOL guidelines.
? Maintains shop discipline, student accountability and training area appearance.
? Maintains property accountability and controls use of materials and equipment.
? Oversees the distribution of tools, supplies and materials and maintains inventory control.
? Monitors student progress and posts pertinent information to Student Profile and PCDP.

? Assists with Grad-90 student identification and programming.
? Participates in student CSSR/Assessments.
? Conducts documented observations of classroom and other activities.
? Ensures regular care and maintenance of assigned facility areas.
Trains and supervises students in the participation of facility care and maintenance.
? Mentors, monitors, and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
? Ability to teach students according to the required academic curriculum for the CTT program.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
? Bachelor's degree in Vocational Education or equivalent experience on a year-for-year basis with demonstrated instructional ability.
High School Diploma or GED required.
? Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or is accredited by a professional trade organization.
For NTC, instructor must be certified by union or trade organization, or by a national trade certifying organization.
Experience:
? In-state teaching certificate preferred.
? Must possess applicable industry certification, or license.
OTHER:
? Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and meet Company insurability requirements.
? Currently have or ability to obtain Active CPR and First Aid Certification if required.
? Must be able to occasionally carry and or lift light objects up to 25lbs he US Department of Labor's Bamberg Job Corps Center is looking for a Career Preparation Program Instructor to work with students in one-on-one and small-group settings.
The Center is a residential trade school and our students will be working on attaining their High School Diploma and their trade skills.
Students are generally between 17-24 years of age.
Functions:
Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.
Administers/Facilitates the Career Preparation Program Curriculum.
Provides skill-development instruction/facilitation (CSS, diversity, employability, conflict resolution, job search, information technology, wellness, personal development, independent living, etc.
).
Coordinates employer and community-based learning experiences.
Works as a member of the Career Development Team in providing individual student case management by identifying individual learning styles and developing individual Academic Plans.
Works as a member of the Career Development Team in facilitating positive student transition, commitment, PCDP, employability, and job readiness.
Participates in student retention, AWOL retrieval, feedback/evaluation, PCDP and case-management activities.
Serves as CPP liaison between Academics, CTT Instructors, and other staff to ensure that curriculum meets theapplied needs of students.
Facilitates skill development, andexperiential and project-based learning activities.
Maintains student accountability and required records (CPP TAR, PCDP, attendance, evaluations, etc.
).
Maintains classroom discipline, appearance, and organization.
Controls the use of classroom equipment and supplies.
Mentors, monitors, and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
